For over twenty-five years PINTO has been serving the engineering needs of Nova Scotia, Canada, and beyond.  We dedicate ourselves to meeting the needs of our clients in structural & civil design, project management, mediation & arbitration, and forensic investigation.  PINTO has contributed to nearly 2,500  projects since being established in 1987 including commercial and residential high-rises, bridges, office buildings, industrial facilities, retail centres, hotels, recreational facilities, warehouses, medical facilities, factories, heritage restoration, renovation & retro-fit, wharfs, and more.

PINTO continues to be the industry leader in terms of incorporating the newest state of the art techniques in its approach. Our current application of technology utilizes many FEM (Finite Element Modelling) software packages such as ETABS, SAFE, RAM, RISA used for integrated design, drafting, and fabrication of tall skyscrapers, long span bridges, and Industrial structures, including using REVIT, which is  a Building Information Modelling (BIM) software and the new buzz in the engineering community.

BIM allows our designers not only to produce conventional drawings such as plans and 3D renderings that are actually live views of the virtual building model, but also enables us to better collaborate with architects, owners, engineers, and construction professionals, thus resulting in optimized designs with fewer errors and less waste, which in turn results in decreased costs for our clients and increased client satisfaction.

This advanced level of software was successfully used by PINTO for the design of The Trillium towers.
